.remove()

Removes all elements in the list from the DOM tree.
Web module only.

Syntax

list.remove()

Description

Removes all elements in the list from the DOM tree.

On Minified builds with IE compatibility, remove() will also remove all event handlers in the removed DOM nodes to prevent memory leaks.

Example

Removes the element with the id 'myContainer', including all children, from the DOM tree. 

$('#myContainer').remove();
